The PM VIKAS scheme states that 50% of women beneficiaries will undergo intensive entrepreneurship training. Further, 10% are to be selected for the Biz Sakhis/Business Mentors programme, with trained women to be handheld to become Biz Sakhis. The scheme spans traditional and non-traditional skilling components (the latter aligned to NSQF job roles) and includes education bridge programmes enabling school dropouts to obtain certification through NIOS or other approved institutions.
