In the digital infrastructure of a TReDS platform, a single paper invoice or a bill of exchange cannot be treated as a raw document because it must be securely validated, trackable, and formatted for institutional bidding.  Once an invoice is uploaded and digitally accepted by the buyer, the system automatically binds the transaction details into a standardized, encrypted digital asset known legally and operationally as a Factoring Unit (FU). This FU acts as the definitive commodity that financiers view, assess for credit risk, and compete against through bidding.
