    Nominal rate or money discount rate + 1 = (1 + Inflation Rate) * (1 + Real Rate) Thus, Real rate = (1+ Money rate)/ (1+ inflation rate) - 1                             = (1+ 19%)/ (1+12%) -1                            = 1.19%                           = 6.25%
