In first column, sentences/phrases are A, B and C and in the second column the sentences/phrases are D, E and F. A sentence/phrase from the first column may or may not connect with another sentence/phrase from the second column to make a grammatically and contextually correct sentence. If none of the options given forms a correct sentence after combination, mark (e), i.e. “None of these” as your answer.

A C-D Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B B-E Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C B-F Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D A-E Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

Solution

Sentence A - The feature is not flexible in creating their own music Can match with an independent clause or with “but”, “as” for indicating a reasoning etc. D and F don’t make a meaningful continuation. E introduces a contrast with “but” and the meaning also contrasts. Thus, A-E is the right pair. Sentence B - Music feature is not limited to Instagram Can match with an independent clause or with “but”, “as” for indicating a reasoning etc. F does not make a meaningful continuation – but available in Facebook as well would have been correct. E is also incorrect because the sentence starts by saying that it is not limited to Instagram but goes on to talk on Instagram again. D does not fit as there is not connecting word. Hence, there is no correct pair. Sentence C - There are new features such as Can match with a dependent clause that gives examples of the “new features”. E and F don’t fit as due to the meaning. D seems that it will fit but it is not a dependent clause. If the sentence was - Instagram Music, which is coming to enable users post music without pictures or videos – then, it would have been correct. Hence, there is no correct pair.
