A network of how many tele-mental health centers of excellence will be set up, with NIMHANS being the nodal center as per the Union Budget 202-23

As announced in the Union Budget 2022-23, the National Tele Mental Health Programme will be launched to improve access to quality mental health counselling and care services . It will help bridge the gap in access to Mental healthcare and help achieve India’s SDG Target 3.4.2 (reduce suicide mortality rate) . A network of 23 tele-mental health centers of excellence will be set up, with NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences) being the nodal center and the International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIITB) providing technical support .
