Vegetative propagation is a type of reproduction in plants, where a new plant is produced from any vegetative part of the plant, e.g. root, stem and leaf. It can be natural or artificial. Artificial methods of vegetative propagation include cutting, layering, grafting, and tissue culture. All these structures grow naturally. The seed is always produced sexually and thus propagation via seeds is not a method of vegetative propagation.
