The National Cooperative Development Corporation NCDC, with support from various agencies, is implementing the pilot project in 24 PACS across different states and union territories. The project aims to create decentralized storage capacity at the PACS level, ranging from 500 MT to 2000 MT, to reduce food grain wastage, strengthen food security, and benefit farmers by eliminating the need for transporting grains between procurement centers and warehouses.
