SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

To avoid any future disqualification, a candidate will have to make sure that he/she is eligible for the post of SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Exam 2020. Certain eligibility criteria is prescribed by the SSC for the candidates who want to pursue their career in SSC Stenographer Group C and Group D Exam 2020. The eligibility criteria includes age, nationality and educational qualification etc.

Educational criteria

Candidates who are willing to apply for SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Exam 2020 need to have certain eligibility criteria prescribed by Staff Selection Commission or SSC. A candidate needs to have a certificate of 10+2 level from a recognized board in order to apply for the post of SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Exam. Age Criteria

In order to become eligible for the SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Exam 2020 post a candidate needs to follow a certain age criterion. The minimum and maximum age limit is prescribed by SSC every year beyond which any candidate is not allowed to apply for the post. Minimum age is 18 years for both Group C and Group D posts whereas the maximum age limit for Group C is 30 years and Group D is 27 years as on 01.01.2020.

Age relaxation

Government has given relaxation in age to candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC/Ex-serviceman etc. Age relaxation is also given to the candidates belonging to central govt., widows, divorces etc. Complete details on this is explained in the table below.

Age relaxation for Group C posts

Permissible relaxation in upper age limit is given to the candidates belonging to central gift civilian employees, widows/ divorcees etc. These candidates are eligible to certain age relaxation. For complete details on age relaxation section please refer the table below:

16 Retrenched census employees of the office of Registrar General of India (They will be considered only for offices under RGI in their order of merit and subject to availability of vacancies ) 3 years plus length of service rendered by them in connection with census, before retrenchment and weightage of past service.
