SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2020

SSC CHSL Age Criteria

If you are applying for SSC CHSL exam , you need to follow a certain age criteria. SSC has specified a minimum and maximum age limit in the official notification of SSC CHSL 2020. The minimum age required to apply for SSC CHSL is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years. The age will be considered as on January, 01, 2021. In order to apply for the SSC CHSL exam, candidates must born not before January 02, 1994 and not later than January 01, 2003. Further details are given below:

SSC CHSL Age Relaxation

SSC also provides relaxation in age for some categories. If you come under one of these categories you will be eligible for the respective relaxation. Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories in SSC CHSL 2020 are as follows:

8 Central Government Civilian Employees: Who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications
  • General/ OBC : Upto 40 years
  • SC/ ST :Upto 45 years
9 Widows/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated and who are not remarried
  • General/ OBC : Up to 35 years
  • SC/ ST : Up to 40 years

Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant:

One arm affected (OA), Both legs affected (BL), One leg affected (OL), One arm and one leg affected (OAL), Blind (B), Low vision (LV) & Hearing Handicapped (HH), are eligible for the posts of Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant.

Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant:

One leg affected (OL), One arm affected (OA), One arm one leg affected (OAL), Both legs affected but not Arms (BL), Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance (MW), Blind (B), Low vision (LV), Hearing handicapped (HH) are eligible for the posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant.

Data Entry Operators (DEOs):

One arm affected (OA), One leg affected (OL), One arm and one leg affected (OAL), Both Legs affected(BL), Hearing handicapped (HH) and Low Vission (LV) are eligible for the posts of Data Entry Operators.
