SSC CHSL 2019 Eligibility Criteria

 Before you apply for any job, it is important to know the complete eligibility criteria for the same. SSC specifies a certain eligibility criteria for the candidates who are willing to apply for CHSL job. All the candidates need to follow this criteria to be eligible for the posts.

SSC CHSL 2019 Educational Qualification 

  • A candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University to be eligible for SSC CHSL posts.
  • For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent will be required. 
  • All candidates who will be called for appearing in the Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificate in original such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificate, etc. as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before 01.08.2019 failing which the candidature of such candidate will be cancelled by the Commission.

 SSC CHSL 2019 Age Limit

SSC also mentions a particular age criteria for the candidates who will apply for SSC CHSL 2019. Age lmit of all the candidates should be between 18-27 years as on 01.08.2019 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1991 and not later than 01-08-2001).

 SSC CHSL 2019 Age Relaxation

SSC also provides relaxation in age for some categories of candidates. All those who come under one of these categories will be eligible for the respective relaxation. Permissible relaxation in upper age limit for different categories are as follows:

Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant:

One arm affected (OA), Both legs affected (BL), One leg affected (OL), One arm and one leg affected (OAL), Blind (B), Low vision (LV) & Hearing handicapped (HH), are eligible for the posts of Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant.

 Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant:

One leg affected (OL), One arm affected (OA), One arm one leg affected (OAL), Both legs affected but not Arms (BL), Muscular weakness and limited physical endurance (MW), Blind (B), Low vision (LV), Hearing handicapped (HH) are eligible for the posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant.

 Data Entry Operators (DEOs):

One arm affected (OA), One leg affected (OL), One arm and one leg affected (OAL), Both Legs affected(BL),Hearing handicapped (HH)and Low Vission(LV) are eligible for the posts of Data Entry Operators.
