SBI Clerk 2019 Notification

Every year SBI conducts national level recruitment exam for the appointment of  junior associates in Clerical cadre. SBI offers a large number of opportunities in the career path of any employee and make it a lucrative package irrespective of the post. SBI jobs not only give a good amount of salary to its employees but also provide respect and dignity that come attached with the job. Therefore, SBI jobs are always in demand and majority of candidates apply for these posts.

Last year also, State Bank of India had invited applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre for a total of 8301 vacancies. This year SBI has announced 8653 vacancies for the post.

Some important points to know before applying for SBI Clerk are:

  • Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State only.
  • The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State (mentioned in the under given vacancy table against each state/UT).
  • Language Test will be conducted for the local language of the state from which the student applies.
  • Candidates can appear for the test only once under this recruitment project.
  • The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online main examination but before joining the Bank.
  • Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard marksheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.

How to fill or Apply- SBI Clerk Online- Form Step by Step Process

Guidelines for Filling Online Application

  • Candidates are supposed to apply online for the post and no other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers - Recruitment of Junior Associates.

  • After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking.

Pre-requisites for Applying Online

  • Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letter/advices etc. by email/SMS.

How to fill application form and Payment of fees: 

  • Payment of fees will be done through Online mode only.
  • Candidates should first scan their photograph and signature as specified under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature.
  • Candidates should visit Bank's website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and open the appropriate Online Application Form, available in the 'Current Openings’. 
  • Fill the application carefully. Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. In the event of candidates not being able to fill the data in one go, they can save the data already entered. When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down the registration number and password. They can re-open the saved data using registration number and password and edit the, if needed. This facility will be available three times only. Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. No change/edit will be allowed thereafter. The registration at this stage is provisional.
  • After ensuring the correctness of the of the application form, candidates are required to pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, following the instructions available on the screen. 
  • The payment can be made by using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
  • On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated; which may be printed for record.
  • The printout of the application form is not to be sent to the Bank.
  • If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please register again and make payment online.
  • There is also a provision to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details, at later stage. 

Application Fee and Intimation Charge: (Non-Refundable)

Fee/Intimation charges once paid will NOT be refunded on any account. Without the payment of application fee, the application will not be considered complete and the process will remain incomplete. The fee details are as per the following table:

 

SBI Clerk 2019 Pay Scale & Emoluments

SBI offers this golden opportunity to all the job aspirants who are willing to make a career in SBI or State Bank of India by releasing recruitment notifications. SBI jobs are considered a lucrative pacakage owing to the good amount of salary as well as the respect and dignity that comes attached. SBI not only provides good salary but also enough benefits and perks which enable the employee feel rewarded enough for the work he/she does. The pay scale of an SBI Clerk is 11765-655/3-13730-815/3-16175-980/4-20095-1145/7-281102120/1- 30230-1310/1-31450.

  • The starting basic pay wil be Rs 13075.00 (11765.00 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).
  • The total starting emoluments of a Clerical cadre employee payable at a Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs 25000/- per month inclusive of D.A.,other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates. 
  • Allowances are subject to change depending upon the place of posting.
  • SBI Clerks will also be entitled to reimbursements of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension under New Pension scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave fare and other facilities, as per instructions of the Bank as may be issued from time to time.

Probation Period for SBI Clerk 2019

  • The candidates selected for the job will be on a probation period according to the terms and conditions of the Service regulations of the Bank at the joining time.
  • The probation period will be for a minimum period of 6 months. The new joinees will also be expected to complete 'e-lessons' as prescribed by the bank. In case of not completing the e-lessons, the probation period will be extended.
  • The employees who do not peform well in their probation period will be subjected to an extended pribation.
