IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (RRBs- CWE-VI) for Recruitment of Group "B"- Office Assistant (Multipurpose) is mentioned below:

Prospective Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the specified eligibility criteria as mentioned below before applying for the Common Recruitment Process

Candidates may please note that the eligibility criteria specified is the basic criteria for appointment to the aforesaid posts in the Regional Rural Banks.


Educational Qualification 

(All the educational qualification requirements are as on 14 August 2019)

  • Candidate should possess a degree from a recognised university or its equivalent as on above-mentioned date.
  • He/ She should also be proficient in the official language of the state from which they are applying.
  • Proper knowledge of computer skills is also desirable.


Nationality / Citizenship 

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit  

Age will be reckoned as on 01 July 2019.

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.07.1991 and later than 01.07.2001 (both dates inclusive)


Age Relaxation:

The maximum age limit specified above is applicable to General Category candidates only. For other categories, the following relaxations would apply:

(only for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) 9 years

Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89

Cut-Off Score for CWE Officers Scale I under CRP- RRB-VI, 2019 

  • Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination to be considered to be shortlisted for interview
  • Depending on the number of vacancies available, adequate number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times of the declared vacancies in each state shall be called for interview, subject to availability
  • Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview
  • The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method. Scores upto two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculation. 

For the post of Officer Scale I, marks obtained only in the main examination will be considered for shortlisting for interview and final merit listing
