IBPS RRB Office Assistant Eligibility Criteria


Before applying for the IBPS RRB Office Assistant examination a candidate needs to first check out the eligibility criteria prescribed by the board. To apply for IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2020 exam a candidate needs to meet the Eligibility criteria for this exam. Aspirants who are eligible for this post can apply and start preparing for IBPS RRB Assistant examination.


To meet the requirement for the age criteria, a candidate should be between a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 28 years of age as per the official notification i.e. candidates should not be born earlier than the date mentioned in the official notification.

PostAge Criteria
Office Assistant (Multipurpose) The age criteria is also a must to apply for this examination. Candidates are required to be in between 18 and 28 years.( till 01/06/2020) as per the official notification i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1991 and later than 01.06.2001 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

The age criteria for IBPS RRB Office Assistant is meant for all the candidates except for a few categories in which IBPS gives an age relaxation as per the government notification. Also, there is a certain age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC, PWD candidates and Ex serviceman which can be found below in the table.

5 Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried (only for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose)) 9 years

A candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. It also needs proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB. Working knowledge of Computer is also desirable for a candidate who aspires to become an IBPS RRB Office Assistant.

NOTE: There is NO percentage criteria to apply for IBPS RRB ASSISTANT EXAM.
