Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Rajasthan

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which is also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park is located in Rajasthan. Birds of Bharatpur sanctuary are one of the major tourist attractions in Rajasthan apart from the Great Thar Desert, Big forts and beautiful lakes. It is declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a protected sanctuary.  This avifauna sanctuary in Rajasthan has over 360 species of birds.

Apart from different species of birds, Bharatpur Sanctuary is also known for the animal species including, Sambar, Nilgai, Boar, and Chital.  Birds found in this Sanctuary are: Various species of cranes, pelicans, geese, ducks, eagles, hawks, shanks, stints, wagtails, warblers, wheatears, flycatchers, buntings, larks, and pipits.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Haryana

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is a popular bird reserve in India. It is situated in Gurgaon, Haryana. This is a home to over 250 species of local and migratory birds where hundreds of migratory bird species visit here every year. Various nomadic birds fly here from, Turkey, Siberia, Russia, and Eastern Europe.

The type of birds that can be found here are Black-necked stork, cattle egret, laughing dove Indian roller, white-throated kingfisher, great egret, red collared dove, red wattled lapwing, rock pigeon, rose-ringed parakeet, common mynah, and little egret. Along with beautiful birds The Sultanpur National Park also known for its rich variety of wild animals and flying predators 

Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Goa

Salim Ali bird sanctuary has been named after the eminent ornithologist Salim Moizuddin Abdul Ali. This is home to varieties of local and migratory birds. It is located in Chorao Island, Goa. It is one of the smallest bird sanctuaries where you can spot flying Sparrows, Beautiful peafowl, Parrots, pelican, Indian giant squirrel and other rare species of fauna. Beyond the Beaches of Goa, Salim Ali bird sanctuary is one of the major tourist attractions in Goa. The Birds that are found here are Cormorants, Malabar trogons, Drongos, kingfishers, sandpipers, woodpeckers, white egrets, purple herons, curlews, mynahs, and kites

In Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, you can not only watch the various species of birds but also includes jackals, foxes, Mudskipper fish and Marsh crocodiles.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kerala

Kumarakom bird sanctuary which is also known as Vembanad bird sanctuary is a major tourist attraction. It is situated in Kerala, near to the famous Vembanad lake. It is a home of various migratory birds for example Wood Beetle, Flycatcher, Teal Stork, , Siberian, Crane and Parrots Another than this some of the famous bird sanctuaries in Kerala are Mangalavanam and Thattekkad bird sanctuary.
