A Only either I or III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Only I , III and either II or IV follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Only I, II and III follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Only I, II and IV follows. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Some rivers are hills (I) + All hills are mountains (A) ⇒ Some rivers are mountains (I) + No mountain is a tree (E) ⇒ Some rivers are not tree (O) ⇒ Hence, only I will follow. No mountain is a tree (E) + Some trees are branches (I) ⇒ Some braches are not mountains (O). Hence, conclusion II and IV do not follow but they make a complementary pair., hence, either conclusion II or IV follows. All hills are mountains (A) + No mountain is a tree (E) ⇒ No hill is a tree (E). Hence, conclusion III follows.
