Six persons D, E, F, M, N and O live in a six storey
building but not necessarily in the same order. The bottommost floor is numbered as 1st and the topmost floor is numbered as 6th. F lives two floors above N. M lives just below O. O lives on a prime numbered floor. E lives below F but above D. D doesn't live below M. Who lives on 4 th floor?Solution
F lives two floors above N. M lives just below O. O lives on a prime numbered floor.
We will have three cases, first, when O lives on 2 nd floor, second, when O lives on 3 rd floor and third when O lives on 5 th floor.
E lives below F but above D. D doesn't live below M.
Case 3 gets eliminated.
In case 1, F lives on 6 th floor, E lives on 5 th floor.
In case 2, E lives on 5 th floor and D lives on 1 st floor but this case will get discarded as D doesn't live below M.
