Question
Which of the following is correct with respect to the
given puzzle? Study the following information carefully to answer the given questions.  Three friends Ajay, Aaryan and Varun have three different boxes having different colour in them viz. Pink, Yellow and White. Each of the three friends Ajay, Aaryan and Varun, has three bags numbered I, II and III. Each of the nine boxes has a different number of colour among 8, 9, 10. The number of colour with each friend is 27. Each box contains only one type of colour among Pink, Yellow and White. The sum of the number of colour with Ajay in boxes I and II are more than that in the boxes I and II of Aaryan. No two friends have equal number of colour of any one type and no two boxes of the same number have equal number of colour of the same type. The number of Pink of Ajay is less than number of Yellow of Varun. Ajay has nine Yellow. Aaryan has White in the box I.         ÂSolution
I. Aaryan has White in box I so Ajay has either Yellow or Pink in box I. II. The sum of the number of colour of Ajay in box I and II is more than that in the box I and II of Aaryan so the box I and II of Ajay can carry either 18 or 19 total colour. Hence the box I and II of Aaryan can carry either 10 or 9 colour. III. As we know that Ajay has 9 yellow os Ajay can have either 8 or 9 Pink and Varun can have 9 or 10 Yellow. Further we know that the number of Pink with Ajay is less than the number of Yellow with Varun. In the similar manner we can eliminate other same colour box number or colour number.       Â
