Question
V lives on ____ floor in flat
Z. Answer the questions based on the information given below: 10 persons (A, B, C, D, T, U, V, W, X and Y) live on 10 different flats of a 5 storey building, where the bottommost floor is 1 and the topmost floor is 5. There are 2 types of flats on each floor, flat R and flat Z such that flat R is in the west of flat Z. Flat R of floor 1 is immediately below of flat R of floor 2, which is immediately below of flat R of floor 3 and so on, similarly for flat Z. Note: If a person lives above/below the other person, then the flat type of both persons may or may not be the same. T lives two floors above D, who doesn’t live on the 2nd floor. Y lives to the southwest of U, who lives above B. Y doesn’t live on the 2nd floor. C and A live on the same floor. B lives to the northeast of T. V lives somewhere to the southeast of A. X lives above W, who lives above V.Solution
1. T lives two floors above D, who doesn’t live on the 2nd floor. 2. B lives to the northeast of T. So, T lives on 3rd floor in flat R, D lives on 1st floor and B lives in flat Z on either 4th or 5th floor. 5. C and A live on same floor. 6. X lives above W, who lives above V. 7. V lives somewhere to the south east of A. The final table is given below:
