Question
Who among the following lives on floor
2? Study the following information carefully to answer the given questions: There are Ten persons i.e. Damini, Dakhsha, Darshi, Dayita, Deepti, Devaki, Dhara, Divya, Druthi and Disha who lives in a building having Four floors such that ground floor is numbered as 1 and above it is 2 and so on up to top floor numbered as 3. Each of the floor consist of 3 flats as flat-1, flat-2, flat-3. Flat-1 of floor-2 is immediately above flat-1 of floor-1 and immediately below flat-1 of floor-3 and in the same way flat-2 of floor-2 is immediately above flat-2 of floor-1 and immediately below flat-2 of floor-3 and so on. Flat-2 is in east of flat-1, flat-3 is in east of flat-2. Two vacant flats are on odd numbered floors and are on even numbered flats. Note: If A lives above (or below) B, then there are living in same flat unless stated otherwise. Dakhsha lives on an odd numbered flat and in an even numbered floor. The flat between Deepti and Divya is vacant and Deepti lives one of the floors above the floor on which Divya lives. Damini lives on the floor immediately above Druthi in the same flat. Dhara and Darshi live on the same floor and no one else lives on that floor. Dayita lives immediately to the west of the flat in which Divya lives. Dhara and Disha live in the same flats which are numbered 1. Disha and Druthi do not live on an odd-numbered floor. Damini does not live on flat number 1.Solution
Two vacant flats are on odd numbered floors and are on even numbered flats. The flat between Deepti and Divya is vacant and Deepti lives one of the floors above the floor on which Divya lives. Dayita lives immediately to the west of the flat in which Divya lives Damini lives on the floor immediately above Druthi in the same flat. Disha and Druthi do not live on an odd-numbered floor. Note: Case-2 gets rejected since Druthi do not live on an odd-numbered floor.
