Ground floor is number 1; first floor is numbered 2 and so on until the topmost floor which is numbered 8. Only two people live between Punit and Kunal. Vicky lives immediately above Sahil. Tanu lives immediately above Reenu. Tanu lives above Ajay. Usha lives on an odd-numbered floor. Only one person lives between Tanu and Ajay. Punit lives on the floor numbered five. Punit lives on the floor numbered five. Only two people live between Punit and Kunal. Kunal lives above Punit. 
Tanu lives immediately above Reenu. Only one person lives between Tanu and Ajay. Tanu lives above Ajay. Clearly, we can’t place Tanu immediately below Kunal. So, two cases are possible. Vicky lives immediately above Sahil. 
Usha lives on an odd-numbered floor. As in Case II only even numbered floor is left to be filled, hence, Case II becomes invalid. So, Usha must be living on 1 st floor.
