are reduced by 5 and the remaining 40% are increased by 10, what will be the new average of the x numbers?Solution
Sum of ‘x’ numbers = 24x
New sum of the ‘x’ numbers = 24x – 0.6x × 5 + 0.4x × 10 = 25x
Therefore, new average = 25x/x = 25
