Question
A train takes 24 seconds to pass a pole and 34 seconds
to completely cross a tunnel that is 300 metres long. How much time will a motorbike, moving at 60 m/s in the same direction, take to pass the train?Solution
ATQ,
Let the length of the train = βLβ metres Distance covered by the train in 24 seconds = βLβ metres Distance covered by the train in 34 seconds = (L + 300) metres So, distance covered by the train in (34 β 24) seconds = L + 300 β L = 300 metres So, speed of the train = (300 / 10) = 30 m/s So, length of the train = 30 Γ 24 = 720 metres Relative speed of the motorbike with respect to the train = 60 β 30 = 30 m/s So, time taken by the motorbike to cross the train = (720 / 30) = 24 seconds
- What will come in the place of question mark (?) in the given expression?
35% of 400 - 20% of 300 = (? - 30) X 2 20% of 1500 β 75% of 200 = 125% of ?Β
5(? + 2)Β =Β 3125Β
7/3 of 4/5 of 15/56 of ? = 83
192.251 + 326.233 + 125.021 + 19.273 = ?
(165 Γ 12) Γ· 45 + 110 = ? Γ 2
Calculate the value of x2, Β if [(8 + 62) Γ· 4 of x + 2.5 Γ 5 = 42Β + 20% of 10].
14 Γ 11 + 25 β ? = 21% of 300
