Time taken by X to reach from point A to B = 4 hrs Distance travelled by Y in 3 hours to reach from point B to C = 210 km Speed of Y = 210/3 = 70 kmph Distance from point A to B = 210 + 210 × 1/7 = 240 km Speed of X = 240/4 = 60 kmph Therefore, Time taken by X to reach from point A to C = (240 + 210)/60 = 450/60 = 7.5 hrs
