    Total work = 48 (LCM of 16 and 12) Efficiency = Work/Time Total efficiency = 3 + 4 = 7 units Remaining work after 4 days = 48 - (7 × 4) = 48 - 28 = 20 units Time is taken by B to finish the remaining work = 20/4 = 5 days Total number of days B work = 4 + 5 = 9 days ∴ B work the total number 9 days to finish the work completely.
