    working together, Riya and Sanya can complete the same task in 10 days. Riya starts the work alone but leaves after 6 days, after which Sanya completes the remaining work on her own. If the total payment for completing the work under this arrangement is Rs. 6,000, how much of this amount does Riya receive?

    ATQ;
    Let the total work = L.C.M of 20 and 10 = 20 units

    Then, efficiency of 'Sanya' alone = 20 ÷ 20 = 1 unit/day

    Combined efficiency of 'Riya' and 'Sanya' = 20 ÷ 10 = 2 units/day

    So, efficiency of 'Riya' alone = 2 - 1 = 1 unit/day

    Work done by 'Riya' alone in 6 days = 1 × 6 = 6 units

    So, payment received by 'Riya' = (6/20) × 6000 = Rs. 1,800
