    Solution

    Ratio of efficiency of A:B = (9000 – 3000):3000 = 2:1 So, ratio of the time taken by ‘A’ alone to complete the work and ‘B’ alone to complete the same wor, respectively = 1:2 Therefore, time taken by ‘A’ alone to complete the work = 48/2 = 24 days
