      ATQ, Let the total amount of work be 24units (LCM of 8 and 12) Efficiency of Sam = 24/8 = 3 units/day Efficiency of John = 24/12 = 2 units/day Work done  together in 2 days = (3+2) × 2 = 10 units Remaining work = 24-10 = 14 units, completed by John alone. Units of work done by John = 14+(2×2) = 14 +4 = 18 units Part of work done by John = 18/24 = 3/4
