Time taken by Nikhil to complete the whole work alone = 10/0.40 = 25 days Let the total work = 25 units Efficiency of (Akhil + Nikhil) = 25/5 = 5 units/day Efficiency of Nikhil = 25/25 = 1 units/day Efficiency of Akhil = 5 - 1 = 4 units/day Therefore efficiency of Sachin = 1.25 x 4 = 5 units/day Time taken by Sachin to complete the whole work alone = 25/5 = 5 days
