Total work = LCM of 14, 35 and 70 = 70 units Unit per day of A = 70/14 = 5 Unit per day of B = 70/35 = 2 Unit per day of C = 70/70 = 1 Units of work done by A in 3 days = 5 × 3 = 15 units Units of work done by B in 8 days = 8 × 2 = 16 units Remaining work = 70 – (15 + 16) = 39 units So, C has worked for 39/1 = 39 days
