      Question

      ‘n’ men working 16 hours a day can complete

      a work in 10 days while (2n – 4) men working 10 hours a day can complete the same work in 9 days. In how many days can (n + 6) men working 12 hours a day complete the same work?
      A 3 days Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 5 days Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 2 days Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 10 days Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      According to the question,
      (n × 16 × 10) = {(2n – 4) × 10 × 9}
      => 16n = 18n – 36
      => n = 18
      Let the number of days taken by (n + 6) = 24 men be ‘x’ days
      Therefore,
      (18 × 16 × 10) = (24 × 10 × x)
      Therefore, x = 10 days
