Question
A cyclist noticed another cyclist ahead moving at 8 m/s
and increased his speed to 14 m/s to catch him. If the distance between them was 150 metres, find the time required to catch up.Solution
Relative speed of faster cyclist w.r.t slower cyclist = 14 − 8 = 6 m/s
So, required time = 150 ÷ 6 = 25 seconds
