Question
The speeds of Kavita and Sunita are in the ratio 9:7. Meena
travels 780 km in 13 hours. If Sunita’s speed is 30% less than Meena’s, find the time Kavita would need to cover 540 km.Solution
ATQ,
Speed of Meena = 780/13 = 60 km/hr
So, speed of Sunita = 0.7 × 60 = 42 km/hr
Therefore, speed of Kavita = (9/7) × 42 = 54 km/hr
Therefore, required time = 540/54 = 10 hours
