Question
The speeds of Pooja and Neha are in the ratio 7:5
respectively. Seema covers a distance of 720 km in 12 hours. If Neha's speed is 25% less than Seema’s speed, find the time taken by Pooja to travel 588 km.Solution
ATQ,
Speed of Seema = 720/12 = 60 km/hr
So, speed of Neha = 0.75 × 60 = 45 km/hr
Therefore, speed of Pooja = (7/5) × 45 = 63 km/hr
Therefore, required time = 588/63 = 9.33 hours
