      Question

A man is travelling at a speed of 60 km/h such that he

will take 90 minutes to reach his destination. But after completing half the journey, the man took a break of 15 minutes and then continued his journey. Find the speed at which the man must cover rest of the journey to reach his destination in original time.
      A 80 km/h Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 60 km/h Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 70 km/h Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 90 km/h Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Total distance to be covered = 60 × (90/60) = 90 km Time taken to cover half the distance at original speed = {(90 ÷ 2) ÷ 60} × 60 = 45 minutes Time remaining = 90 – 45 – 15 = 30 minutes Required speed = 45 ÷ 30 × 60 = 90 km/h
