If the time is same, then the ratio of the speeds is equal to the ratio of the distance covered Therefore, ratio of the distance covered by ‘A’ and ‘B’ = 60:30 = 2:1 Let the distance covered by ‘A’ and ‘B’ be 2y km and 1y km, respectively According to the question, 2y – y = 240 Or, y = 240/1 = 240 Therefore, distance coved by ‘A’ = 2y = 480 km Time taken by ‘A’ = x = 480/60 = 8 hours
