Total number of fans sold in 2017 = 120% of 190x = (120/100) × 190x = 228x Number of shops in 2017 = 7x + 15 According to question, (228x)/ (7x + 15) = 57/2 8x = 7x + 15, x = 15 Total number of shops initially in 2016 = 7 × 15 = 105
