Question
A sum of money is divided among P, Q, R and S in the
ratio of 2:3:6:7 respectively. If the share of R's is Rs. 2850 more than the share of Q, then what is the total amount of money of P and S together?Solution
Ratio of P, Q, R and S is 2:3:6:7 respectively, According to the question,  ⇒ R = 2850 + 3x ⇒ 6x = 2850 + 3x ⇒ 3x = 2850 ⇒ x = 950 ⇒ Total amount of P and S together = 2x + 7x = 9x = 9 x 950 = Rs. 8550
