    A sum of Rs.10600 is to be divided among 6 brothers, 5

    sisters and 3 aunts. If each sister receives four times as much as each aunt and each brother receives five times as much as each aunt. How much does each sister receive?

    Solution

    Let each aunt receives Rs.x Brothers : Sisters : Aunts = 5x : 4x : x 6 brothers : 5 sisters : 3 aunts = 30x : 20x : 3x According to the question, => 30x + 20x + 3x = 10600 => 53x = 10600 => x = Rs. 200 Each sister receives = 4 × 200 = Rs. 800
