    In the following questions, two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer.

    I. 8x2- 2x – 15 = 0 II.

    I. 8x2 - 2x – 15 = 0 8x2 + 10 x - 12x – 15 = 0 2x(4 x + 5) - 3(4 x + 5) = 0 (2x – 3) (4 x + 5) = 0 x = 3/2,-5/4 II. 12y2 - 17y – 40 = 0 12y2 - 32y + 15 y – 40 = 0 4 y (3 y – 8) + 5(3 y – 8) = 0 (4 y + 5) (3 y – 8) = 0 y =-5/4,8/3 Hence, no relationship cannot be established between x and y
