Solution

Let SP of each article be Rs.100. Total SP = Rs. 200 Therefore, => CP of article A = (100/120)×100 = Rs. (250/3) => CP of article B = (100/80)×100 = Rs. 125 Total CP = Rs. 625/3 Overall gain or loss% = [(625/3 – 200)/625/3]×100 = 4% loss
