Area = length × breadth ⇒ 5x × 3x = 2160 ⇒ 15x² = 2160 ⇒ x² = 2160 ÷ 15 ⇒ x² = 144 ⇒ x = 12 So, Length = 5x = 5 × 12 = 60 m Breadth = 3x = 3 × 12 = 36 m Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (length + breadth) = 2 × (60 + 36) = 2 × 96 = 192 m Cost of fencing at Rs. 6 per metre: = 192 × 6 = Rs. 1152 Answer: Rs. 1152
