    Number of girls = 288 x 5/8 =180 So, number of boys = 288- 180 = 108 Now, Number of girls below 12 years of age = 180 x 2/5 =72 Number of boys above 12 years of age = 108 x 4/9 =48 So, the number of boys below 12 years of age = 108-48 =60 Total number of students below 12 years of age = 72 + 60 = 132 132 students are below 12 years of age
