    time. A and B worked for the entire period of the allotted time and the work was completed on time. What portion of the work was done by B?

    Solution

    Let the total time taken by them be 100 minutes. So,   15% of 100 minutes = 15 minutes Now, 12% of work is completed in 15 minutes by A 4% of work is completed in 5 minutes by A 80% of work is completed in 100 minutes by A If A can complete 80% in 100 minutes, then, B will complete the remaining portion i.e. (100 - 80) = 20% ∴  20% of the work was done by B.
