    Solution

    Let the speed of the boy be V and time taken by the boy to reach his school be T. Speed of the boy after increase = 8/5 V Time taken by the boy to reach his school after increase in speed = T – 30 Since distance is same for both cases. ∴ Distance = VT = 8/5 V (T – 30) 8/5 T – T = 48 T = 48 × 5/3 = 80 minutes
