    A 2 ∶ 1 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 1 ∶ 2 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 3 ∶ 4 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 5 ∶ 3 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Selling price of the mixture = Rs.56 A profit of 40% is earned ∴ Cost price of the object = 56 × (100/140) = 40 Let the quantity of costlier rice and cheaper rice mixed be x and y respectively ⇒ 45x + 30y = 40(x + y) ⇒ 5x = 10y ⇒ x/y = 10/5 or 2 ∶ 1
