      Let the total capacity of the tank be 60 units Efficiency of pipe ‘A’ = 60/12 = 5 units/hour Efficiency of pipe ‘B’ = 60/15 = 4 units/hour Tank filled in 10 hours = 10 × 5 = 50 units Therefore, required time taken to fill the remaining tank = (60 – 50)/(5 – 4) = 10 hours Therefore, total time taken = 10 + 10 = 20 hours
