Let the numbers be ‘x’ and ‘y’ respectively.
According to the question,
⇒ 0.80x = 0.64y
⇒ x/y = 0.64 / 0.80 = 4/5
So the numbers are in the ratio 4 : 5
Sum of the numbers = 4 + 5 = 9 units = 360
⇒ 1 unit = 360 ÷ 9 = 40
⇒ Difference = (5 – 4) units = 1 unit = 40
