    Total marks scored by Rajan in Social studies, Science, and Arts = 89 × 3 = 267 So, marks scored by Rajan in Social studies and Science = 267 – 96 = 171 Let the marks obtained by Rajan in science be ‘x’. So, marks obtained by Rajan in social studies = 1.25x So, x + 1.25x = 171 2.25x = 171 x = 171/2.25 x = 76 So, marks obtained by Rajan in Science = 76 marks.
