    Let the monthly income of 'B' be Rs. ‘y’. After spending on travel and groceries, he is left with Rs. 9000. So, according to the question: 0.75×0.50×y = 9000 y = (9000/0.375) = 24000 The amount spent on travel = 0.25×24000 = Rs.6000
