    Let total marks obtained by both of them is x and y respectively. x – y = 10 And, x = 0.51 × (x + y) x = 0.51 × (10 + y + y) x = 0.51 × (10 + 2y) x = 5.1 + 1.02y 10 + y = 5.1 + 1.02y 0.02y = 4.9 y = 245 x = 245 + 10 = 255
