Find the amount spent by him on food, if the difference between the amount received by his brother and the amount spent on rent is Rs. 2110.

A Rs. 3200 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs. 3300 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs. 3100 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 3600 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

Solution

Let the monthly salary of A be Rs. ‘x’ Amount spent on food = Rs. 0.36x Amount spent on rent = Rs. 0.25x Amount received by brother = (x – 0.36x – 0.25x) × 0.10 = 0.039x So according to question: => 0.25x – 0.039x = 2110 => 0.211x = 2110 => x = 10000 So, the amount spent on food = 0.36 × 10000 = Rs. 3600
