A Rs. 15600 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs. 15000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs. 10600 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 17600 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Rs. 15650 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

Solution

Let the monthly salary of A be Rs. ‘x’ Amount spent on food = Rs. 0.30x Amount spent on rent = Rs. 0.20x Amount received by brother = (x – 0.30x – 0.20x) × 0.30 = 0.15x So according to question: => 0.20x – 0.15x = 2600 => 0.05x = 2600 => x = 52000 So, the amount spent on food = 0.30 × 52000 = Rs. 15600
